The 22nd International Harp Contest in Israel

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: 1 September 2026

Please note that the required repertoire remains unchanged and is valid for the new competition dates.

Applications submitted for the 22nd International Harp Contest, originally scheduled for 2025, will remain valid for the rescheduled competition dates.

The Opening Concert will take place on 11 January 2027, and the Final Concert on 21 January 2027.

We look forward to welcoming harpists from around the world to Israel in January 2027.

 The commissioned Israeli work for the 22nd Harp Contest:
“Northern Wind” by Uri Brener.
The name of the piece is inspired by a quote
from the Babylonian Talmud (Tractate Berachot 3b):
“A harp was hanging above David’s bed. As soon as midnight arrived,
a North wind came and blew upon it and it played of itself.
He arose immediately and studied the Torah till the break of dawn…”

  3. Confirmation of the bank transfer for the USD 300 registration fee must be sent to the Competition Office at office@harpzamir.co.il no later than 1 September 2026.

Please read carefully:
1. I have read and hereby accept the Rules and Regulations of the Contest.  I agree to adhere to its Rules and Regulations and will accept, without appeal, any and all decisions of the Jury.
2. I agree to perform, without remuneration, for Radio, TV, Video, CD, DVD, social media and public concerts, during the Contest.
3. If I will become a Prize Winner, any of the prizes, I agree to perform either in a concert after the competition and/or I will perform a short piece after the Prizes Distribution, on request.
4. All performer's rights of my performance shall belong to the contest which will have sole rights of distribution in any and all media. I undertake not to show a copy of my recorded performance to any person or body corporate prior to the official broadcasting of my performance.

All documents (apart from copies of programs, diplomas, and awards) must have an English translation attached if original is not English.
